Default Question: #10 Heddon fly rod

I have 3 piece, 9' split bamboo Heddon fly rod. On the rod it says #10. What does that signify? Thanks for any help.

it is the model number. The 10 is a big rod as I recall from hving owned a two piece. Your rod appears to have been rewrapped and refinished. It is likely a six or seven weight rod. That crossways signature is something neat about those old Heddons. They were all signed that way by a woman who must have been very busy because they sold a ton of rods. Are there other numbers on the rod?

Found this brief description

A google search actually turned up quite a bit more info.
