Anybody still use a CB

Anybody out there still have a cb in their boat or has it all gone to VHF. I was reading on The Guides Forecast, and they suggested putting one in the boat and in the local Williamtte area use an odd chanel like 3 so we could pass ideas along to each other in close proximity. Sounds good to me anyone else game?

I use both, CB and VHF. The CB is on ch. 12

I have a CB in my truck and a handheld CB in my boat (ch 10)
I Use them at the launch, talking to the person in the boat or vise versa, it's a good way to avoid any mishaps.

all the boat basins and coast guard have cbs on the coast, check with each marina to find which channel is being used in that area,i use cb and vhf.and find it very useful,esp on columbia, cell phones are the big thing among guides,
