Default Jig fisherman

It appears as though the Wilson is going to be running low and clear this weekend. Is this
this type of water that is conducive for jigging. I spend a lot of time on the Wilson drift fishing
Thought I might try something new to me. Should the same conditions be good for Pulling plugs
Any input would be much appreciated..

pinks and whites are good. purple and blue are second choices. don't forget about the pink worm on a jighead option. it can be killer.

freak,

My personal favorite is an 1/8 oz. cerise bead-bodied marabou jig. Actually, many variations of pinks with white or black are consistent producers. If the water is really clear, I prefer a cerise/black combo. If the vis. is say, 6 feet or less, then I usually start with cerise.

When the water is low, clear, and cold look for deep holes and fish them thoroghly........don't pass up the tailout. In water like that, you may not get the float dunk.........you may just get a wiggle or hesitation so be very observant of your float.

Good luck.........let us know how it turns out.

I was on the Wilson this morning and went 4 for 4 using flies, jigs & pink worms so to answer your question, yes the conditions are great for jigs.
