Default Permission to come aboard Captain?

I came to Oregon in the fall of '96 and went fishing on the Sandy (under the Troutdale bridge) casting spinners with a fellow Devil Dog. I was casting a Mepps (silver and red)using 10# test and a little trout pole. When the resistence arrived I didn't know what exactly was on the other end; or how big. It turned out to be about 18#'s (and 25 minutes later). I have been enjoying the year round fishing here ever since. I will go where the fish go and try whatever it takes to obtain the feeling I left the Sandy river that beautiful fall day.
That fish wasn't the only thing hooked that day.

T,
Welcome!
There's a lot of very good fishing info that is freely shared on Ifish.

Hopefully, you're now using something a little bit bigger then that trout rod ,when you're chasing those Steelhead.
