Default fuel/water seperator?

have a 10micron filter on my yammi 225, question is is there any advantage to having a filter with a drainable bowl at the base?

Look at the Coast Guard regulations. The glass drain bowl filters are not allowed in all gas tank installations.

Yes...you can see when there's water in it.

Glass bowls are not allowed on I/Os and similar enclosed setups, they're OK on O/Bs.

Had mine srevice due to E-10. I put a glass filter on my line before the seperator. The dealer took it off and said not to use it.

Being able to see if water is in the fuel sounds like a good thing to me.

Yes, It's a good idea to have the Racor fuel seperator.

You can see if there is water in the bowl without taking off the filter.
