First Steelhead a Beaut!
My brother-in-law is here from Indonesia (where he works) and loves fishing so I introduced him to steelheading today and he managed to get one! A nice, mint, hatchery 8 lb hen. First time drift fishing, first salmonid or trout of any kind. Course all I managed was a hatchery boot but ChuckDog, who was also with us got a decent 7lb hatchery buck and a beautiful 12lb (?) native. We had three others on and the Sandy was very, very pretty and very, very cold. Only saw 2 other fishermen all day - I love this state! We had to work for the fish though. All on Jensen egg(s) or small egg clusters.
