I fished Eagle Creek Sunday, didn't get anything. I did see a couple in the creek, I was fishing up at the bridge above Eagle Fern. The water was a nice green color but clearing, I would say its at about 4ft visibility right now. I didn't see anyone with fish on the bank but there were a ton of cars by 1o'clock rock and that area so someone must be catching some fish. I would recomend with the water being this clear that you fish the faster water with a broken surface thats about 4ft deep. There should still be quite a few fish running around in the creek but I haven't had any success lately. Good luck, tight lines. Ben

My buddy got a nice one the other day.
Have your "old" friend start at the bottom of Eagle Fern Park, and work up to the top.
Have him use bobber and jig (easy & deadly)

Also tell him to wear darker (warm) clothing, because the water is getting mighty clear.

Did good on saterday, but the water condition was perfect for fishing all over the creek. Without any rain last few days it might be tough fishing if you can't travel the creek to much. I'm guessin by now the water will be crystal clear, and fishin might be slow without knowin the little holes and rocks to fish. But this is just my .02. Best time for someone to fish EC that dosn't know the creek too well is right after rain, were the creek is droppin and the water is just a little off color. Good luck though.

Thanks for the info guys :tongue: I just got back from the Creek. I wasn't fishing but did check out the park area fishing situation. Uncle Bob, I agree, fishing the lower park working his way up the Creek would be best.

Just a little more info;
I also went up to the Hatchery and talk to a few guys (9 rigs @ 4pm) fishing below the privite houses and one had 15 on and they said the holes all had plenty of fish but they weren't biting well. They brought 3 brights out but mostly caught dark or high finners. There were 2 to 3 hundred in the hatchery trap. I saw some of our corkys and yarn still attached.

Default Eagle Creek report

Hi all,

I met an older gentleman the other day and he wants to know about fishing the EC. I want to send him to Eagle furn park as there is easy access for him. John had open heart surgery two weeks ago. Question, Has anyone been catching fish on the creek lately? I'll pass on your reports this evening.

Thanks a bunch!
