Re: Umpqua River
They are spanking them big time on the Main, the North and the South forks.
Plugs, corkies and bait and spoons.
I was in town yesterday and heard it at 5 different tackle shops... the river looked good, just wish I weren't working!!

Re: Umpqua River
Today I was in the Roseburg area and checked out the fish viewing site at Winchester damn on the N. Umpqua. Seen several nice fish half were fin clipped and around the 10lb size. The water was very fishable all the way down to Elkton. Seen several people fishing today. I did hear the fishing is good. Just depends where you are though.

Re: Umpqua River
Drove down 58 on Monday and the river was an ugly color. Drove back out today and it was browny green in the lower river and milky, greeny, touch of brown on the upper part. Between 0 and 3 trailers at the launches I passed. Be careful of all the grawdoo (technical term) floating down the river. Tree branches and trees. It was much better today than Monday. Visibility in the bay was 28" on Monday and 31" on Tuesday. Don't know about the catching.

Re: Umpqua River
STG,
I think you mean Hwy 38 don't you? 58 would be the Willamette.
I did see fishing near Tyee today. Looked good enough for fishing for sure Saturday it will be perfect.

Re: Umpqua River
Three, five..... at least I'm sure it had an eight in it. And I do remember it went between I-5 and Reedsport. Has these funny little towns on it. Drain, Elkton, Scottsburg (berg?). Anyway, that Umpqua river was on one side and then the other of the highway.

Re: Umpqua River
I knew you knew. Oak Grove is between Oregon City and Milwaukie, just south of Portland.

Re: Umpqua River
Gotta be the darn thread. If you look up, I had the same problem (I just edited out my boo boo). I left Reedsport at about 9:30 or 10:00 this morning.
