Default Squaw Creek info?

Anyone have any information on Squaw creek this time of year? I have heard the access road gate doesnt open until the 31st, but is that the only road in or is there other access points closer down to the deschutes. Will be headed over to that area for a nice stint and looking for some new water to fish. Any info is appreciated.

Actually, I do not know that much information, but thought that most of Whychus Creek was private, especially in and around Camp Polk area. There is some public area both on the upstream (NF) and in the Grassland area and looks like a cool exploratory trip from the Alder Springs trailhead. Just don't know if it is open to fishing or not. It used to be. Good luck and report back if you go and watch out for juvenile steelhead.
