Siletz 2/12
Drifted from Moonshine to Twin Bridges. I would say there were about 25 boat rigs and 5 more as we put in at about 10am. The water was steelhead green. Pulled plugs and side drifted, no luck for my boat however. There were a few boats with fish. Nothing great, except it was sunny and 50 degrees!!!!!!!!!!

2-4-02 Twin Briges to Saw Mill Site Spooner took me fishing and we hooked eight. Lost too many and lots of wild fish. Only four or five boats.

Re: Siletz 2/12
Three of us fished Twin-bridges to the town ramp today and never touched anything. Talked to one party who said they had one in the box. Others nothing. Only five or so trailers at the put-in. River color and height was perfect. Not much showed up on the Side-finder.

Keta, 2-4-02 isn't that report a bit late?

Paul, you are seriously risking your OAFS membership.

Re: Siletz 2/12
Get him birdhunter, 'cept don't go so lightly on him next time. Geez, even a guy that don't fish the Siletz knows a rat when he sees one!

Re: Siletz 2/12
One thing I have noticed about the Siletz is, when you have beautiful clear sunny days the fishing usually sucks. I like fishing the Siletz on cloudy drizzley days.
On 2-12 a couple of friends borrowed my boat and did the Moonshine drift. They brought 6 fish to the boat, 5 of them were keepers.

Re: Siletz 2/12
Floated the town circuit on Sunday, maybe 10 boats on the drift and no reports of any fish. We boated one big snake-like native, long but only ~10lbs or so, boondogglin' a sand shrimp. To the guys that told us the take out was 100-yards past the bridge, it ain't. Its a good 1/4 mile; we thought we missed it and that we were on our way to the bay.

Re: Siletz 2/12
How many other OAFS memebers are there on ifish? Out of the 3 I know about Im th only one that hasnt taken on outdoor writer or a TV show host fishing on the Siletz
I was going to fish the Siletz on monday 2-18 but my passenger bailed on me. I did a little recon fishing close to home instead. Lets just say there is enough fish in the Santiam system to make it worthwhile.

Re: Siletz 2/12
Alright Paul the gloves are off! That's a pretty low blow to lump me in the same group as Grant Winkleman.

Re: Siletz 2/12
Grant Winkleman.... I like that! Thats too funny. I Grant doesnt find it all that funny though.
We need to hook up and do a trip together sometime soon. We need to do it on day that Grant is out also, Then we can whoop his butt and make him look bad.

Grant does fine on his own, he doesn't need any help from us! When there are fishable numbers of summers over in the north fork lets go hammer a few...
