Hi I'm new. Pretty Cool site. Does anyone know ther name of the rv camping area on the road to the boat launch at wind river? Or if not, are there any other places to set up a camper for a month or so during the spring run? Any help would be appreciated thanks

Hi Nate --- Welcome aboard. The "Wind River Resort" (directly across the Wind from the boat launch) got closed down for camping last year but you could still rent a place to tie up your boat. Go up there early in the run and see the caretaker guy named Don. His phone number doesn't work now, but he will likely be back.

Nate there is a place about 4 or 5 miles up in the first canyon area on the west side that you would not have to pay.It holds about 60 trailers or tents and it has the hottest fishing in the lower section.My slowest day last year in the lower canyon was 39 nookies the highest day was over 70.There is a hotel there just above the camp zone I will get you the name soon.I fish it regularly with Phil Pirone from Pro-Cure as we have egg offs.You Know who has the hottest cure and all.I will get back at you.Lyle Froyd
