I bought this last year as my first motorcycle because I loved the style and thought I might want to get into riding. I've found that I have too many other responsibilities, like 4-kids, and just do not find the time. I don't know much about motorcycles, but the guy I bought it from was a real enthusiast. So here is a copy of the advertisement when I bought it last year. I'm asking $4,000. May take a Sig pistol in 380 or 9mm on part trade, other firearms considered.
"This is the CB750F Supersport that Honda should have built for import to the US back in the 80’s. This is a total frame off restoration that took two years and I enjoyed every minute of it. It has only had 2 owners including me. Let’s start the list of new and better than original:
• fuel tank dipped and coated by a professional (it wasn’t rusty, just wanted to start fresh)
• all body parts were then soda blasted, primed and painted with new decals then two coats of clear
• multiple parts were powdercoated black to accent the silver
• comstar wheels powdercoated gray and new bearings installed
• new steering, wheels, and swingarm bearings
• clutch cover hand buffed and clearcoated
• brake calipers rebuilt with new pucks and rubber gaskets and painted with high temp brake caliper paint from PJH
• Front and rear brake cylinders rebuilt
• Spiegler steel braided brake lines front and rear
• Front and rear rotors drilled
• New O-ring chain and front and rear sprockets
• Work Shocks – delivers an awesome ride – originals are crap, even when rebuilt
• Front forks rebuilt with Progressive springs
• Check out the rare fork brace in the pictures. Imported from Canada
• Continental kit installed (getting very hard to find this kit that was only available in Canada and Europe) includes left and right controls so that brake and throttle cables mounted on top of controls. Kit also includes the much sought after rearsets that put your feet back for a more aggressive riding position
• Renthal handlebar
• New Bridgestones
• New battery (2 months ago)
• Carbs totally rebuilt - $400 invested
• New throttle, clutch and speedo cables
• Stainless steel header and pipe exhaust system imported from Germany
• Original mirrors available if you don’t like barends.
• Much more that could be listed….
8,xxx original miles. The engine is in perfect condition and the valves were adjusted (didn’t really need it) I have put on maybe 1,000 miles in 2 years taking lazy Sunday afternoon spins out in the country. Original owners manual, took kit, Honda repair manual, sales brochure that dealers had on display for prospective buyers. I have a copy of the original title to prove that there have only been 2 owners. Lots of receipts available. I have to many bikes and can’t ride them all. I hate to part with this one, but it deserves to be ridden and shown off. No test rides, no trades and no low ball offers. I can send larger pics via email if you want. This is a beautiful example of the motorcycle that Freddie Spencer rode to fame around the world in the early 80’s."
