Default Fishing for the kids

so my dads girlfriend wants to take her kids out fishing and she turns to me, the 15 year old without a car and 3 rods. they have 1 rod and 0 tackle, so i gotta reach into my pocket and buy some tackle so i cant take these kids out. but this weekend is going to be here before i know it and i need some advice of some place close to corvallis where i can take 3 young kids out to have a good time and hopefully turn them on to fishing. any suggestions?

Get some bobbers, worms and hooks and go up to EE Wilson, north of you about 10 miles. Turn onto the road, pass the headquarters and park in the area near the bird displays. Up that paved road half a mile or so is a pond they've been stocking. Call me at work and I can tell you which week it will be stocked...888-222-8231. Waverly and Timber Linn lakes in Albany will be stocked pretty soon, too, and Junction City Pond gets fish...

EE Wilson Pond is OK, but it is actually easier to get the kids into a mess of stockers at Thissell Pond,if you don't mind driving a little farther. Thissell Pond is located on Fall creek Road west of Alsea. Power bait is the way to go, although they wil hit small roostertails all day long too. Call the ODFW to check stocking schedules, but I would guess they are going to have these ponds loaded to the gills (Pun incidental). Send me an E-mail if you want more details.
