Default Green Peter Kokanee

Heading to Green Peter tomorrow morning--Has anyone fished this recently? Is the water still coming up? How deep are you fishing? Thanks for any information.

Winter ramp should just fine. Go to the link below, click on the reservoir levels in the first paragraph and that will give you the current level of GP and several lakes, then go back to the link below and look at the picture that most closely relates to the current water level.

The ramp is in great shape. The water is to the top of the lower parking lot.

Fished GP today with my Grandson. We had a great day and caught plenty of fish. The best part was the look on his face when he landed his first of the day. Kid really smoked me!!!!

That would depend on the time of year. Jigging seems to work better when they are schooled up. Trolling you cover lots of water and you can use two poles per person (can't do that jigging). Trolling wins hands down iny boat

Hit GP on Saturday, got there early but not early enough. There was a bass tourney going on so there was a little ramp waiting. The OSU Crew were also on the water this day.

All indications, Moon phase and recent weather ups and downs pointed to an average day for fishing. We boated 9 and lost two with the bite slowing down around noon. Caught my first "eyefish", DR went down, felt the fish for a little while then was off. Reeled in and all had was one eye ball. First time I ever caught an eye ball.

Pink was the color for most, although two were caught on green. Overall it seemed the bite was off compared to the last two trips, one thing we noticed was the amount of surface activity was almost non existent. I think all fish were caught from surface to 20'.

Water temp ranged from 47-52 when we left around 2:00 pm. Nice day on the water and first time out with the newly added fish finder, GPS mount and Fulton Kicker bracket.

I think I left my Fillet knife at the Sunnyside cleaning station if anybody found one.
