Try the Red Apple grocery store in St. Helens. I think Safeway has some too.

Ask for Reed McIntire if you want info on something they do not stock. Or just place an order with whoever answers the phone. They understand the fish business and know how to care for customers and fresh fish.

This is the only place I'll buy it when it can't be caught.

I called several local stores and all of them had fresh smelt. We got some for our neighbor who just loves them. Let your fingers do some walkin.

Hello all. I was not able to get out dipping and I'm wondering if there is anywhere I can buy fresh smelt. I would like to get a bunch to vac pack for later. I'm not even sure what is going on smelt wise right now. Is it over? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, is there anywhere I could get some around 7am tomorrow morning on the way to Kelly Point area? If not I guess I'll use frozen tomorrow :depressed:
