Default Outboard Jet Impeller and liner replacement costs

Does anyone have an idea of what a liner and impeller costs. I am doing the replacement and adjustment myself. The instructions available from the manufacturer are good and I'm a competent mechanic...just cant get hold of a dealer today to get a an idea of the parts cost. So anyone that has done this before and has an idea on the prices I'd like to hear from you.....prices for both SS and aluminum impeller plus the cost of new liner

The last liner I bought for my 200 outboard jet was $45 in late 2008. Dunno about impellers, mine's stainless, haven't needed one.

I think they might have prices on the outboard jets website, the company is specialty mfg in San Leandro, Ca.

I paid $50 for a new liner last month on my 200 Yamaha. I also have a SS impellor, so I haven't had to replace....................

Paid about 50 for the liner and 390 for a 4 blade ss impeller a couple of years ago. Oh yeah its for a 150. PM me for a place to get them cheaper than direct from woolie. I didn't want to break any rules listing a site.

FWIW, there are dealers that carry Outboard Jets products all around here. The company can direct you to the nearest one. What I remember when I've bought parts is that every dealer had the same price- msrp- so it made sense to get it in Oregon instead of mail order. Save shipping and tax.

If there's a discounting dealer I'd sure like to know (via PM, don't break the site rules)

I don't run stainless impellers as I've I've had some amazingly large items go through the intake grille- pieces of slate were the worst- as well as having the jet unit bolts drop down through the impeller. If I had been running a stainless impeller I'd have a broken crankshaft. I can tell you there is one marine dealer I won't return to.

I know two dealers locally to Olympia....just kinda preparing myself for the sticker shock My impeller (aluminum) has no big nicks, but could stand to be sharpened. It does appear to be a little loose on the shaft to mucj freeplay in my opinion.....bought this motor used and may be shimmed wrong?

You can move the shims but there will always be a few thousandth's free play back and forth. The shimming would only address play up and down on the shaft. Maybe try another key if there is rotational free play.

Mine will "set" against the key the first time the motor is started and stays there until I whack the impeller with a mallet, then I can disassemble it. At least in my case that freeplay is good, allows the unit to be disassembled.
