Default crescent lake report

It was a long cold day at crescent but I did catch one nice brown at 6 pounds. Hope tomorrow will be warmer.

I always say that my goal for the weekend is one brown over 5 pounds. I achieved my goal but that was the only fish for 21 hours on the water this weekend. A big thanks to R.D. (coyoteBrownTrtHntr) for taking me to Crescent Lake this weekend.

A good looking hook jaw for sure. Too bad you guys put up a goose egg on Sunday. Did you like the yurt? Did you have to walk across the dam to access it?

It was my first time staying in a yurt and they are pretty nice. They have a wood stove but its so small it only burns for about two hours which makes for a pretty cold morning. Yes you have to walk across the dam but the resort hauls all your gear for you. There and back. They told us they are building 3 more yurts. I will certainly stay in them again at $30 its hard to beat

Nice fish. I would have settled for that!
Spent about 6 hours on Sunday trolling there and nothing. But it was a wonderful day and got the boat out for the first time this year and got the gunk out of the motors. Boat is now ready for when the fish cooperate.

I was in the the alumaweld with green trim with the top down.Did not get there until the afternoon and stayed till dark. Was such a nice day though and so good to get out on the water. I will get the stink off on that lake one day LOL. I have been there about 10 times now in the last 2 years and can not seem to hit the right day or figure out that lake. But persistence will pay off. I hope

Did you see us? I think I might've seen your boat as we were leaving. Yesterday was tough. Joe, FOB is the only boat I know that got fish. We had 2 bumps but no hookups.

Way to Go, Jimmy! Glad I could "guide" ya into that Hookjaw. Sure got the adrenaline pumping after LONG hours on the water. We earned that one Buddy!

I should have a report up on our website by weeks end, so for the readers who are in the know, check it out for the full story.
Keep on Huntin',
