Re: Big Oregon Bass Pics
For all who think they want to take Dave fishing, just be aware that if you take him to your favorite lake, chances are he will catch a bigger fish than you. That is what happened when I took him to my favorite lake. I have fished that lake for years, and he strolls in and catches a monster on his first time. Dave, when are we going again buddy. By the way, I will take credit for taking the fifth picture from the bottom.

Re: Big Oregon Bass Pics
Very nice pics Dave.
Someday you will have to show me how to hold a bass so that it looks bigger in the pics. For some reason mine look sooooo small compared to yours.

Re: Big Oregon Bass Pics
Dave, how many years are there between those pics? I only count two different pair of sunglasses....almost as impressive as your big bass is the fact that you haven't lost those glasses....
sunglasses and bass fishing are like a curse for me...I only go when I need to lose a pair it seems.

Re: Big Oregon Bass Pics
All this talk about catching 500 fish who's total weight adds up to around 8 pounds, had to bring this back up to see if there's anyone left on this board who still prefers to get to 8 pounds of fish the easy way

Re: Big Oregon Bass Pics
You make me sick Mr. Smith.
Are those smb locals? The one from '02
looks like a 6lber...
Don't you at all miss your Skeeter despite
having personal access to killer ponds
in the valley?
BTW, any of the coastal lakes (i.e., Sunset / Cullaby) worth fishing
this time of year from boat?
Thanks.

Yeah all the smallies are from Hagg ofcourse. Two just under 6, one was 6-5. Yes, I miss my boat- ofcourse! But when you're bass fishing partner and best freind of 32 years dies, and you can't even look at your boat without getting choked-up, what do you do?
Yes, all the coast lakes fish good this time of year if you can deal with the weeds, speaking of being choked-up

Re: Big Oregon Bass Pics
It just doesn't make sense to me to fish the hard way. Unless your fishing a tourney trying to sack your limit of course. But damn, aren't we all trying to get that monster fish? It just makes more sense to target that one big bite, than to filter out dinks all day, maybe hitting the 3lb mark......... Screw that!
I definitely would go home feeling better catching just 1 fish in a day weighing 8lbs than catching say 100+ dinks. Leave that to the kids.......

Re: Big Oregon Bass Pics
This is ridicules! I catch lots of big bass! I enjoy catching Fish! I catch hundreds of bass every year and some monsters! But I can’t support others that like to fish for pan fish? I can’t fish for crappie one day and get bashed for just nailing several hundred fish in a day? I kept 0 fish that day. I fish for lots of kinds of fish but bass is my true love. I catch hundreds of trout in a day and more than 50 shad in a day and over 200 smallies in a day. Let me enjoy my way of fishing without bashing me or others that like to fish and are hell of a good fisherman! I have only fished for crappie one day this year and Dave feels the need to start bashing me for catching 500 fish that do not live up to his standard? Not nice moderators please step in before ……
