I dont know Ash L, but most of the stretches I fish they seem to be working into spawning areas, coves inlets, marinas..... in mid to late may through mid June.Varies throughout the river, based on water temp, depth.... Bigger females are more predominate earlier til June, and there tends to be more males watching the nests after that.Where is Ash L?

Forget about ash lake. Go into the camas slough. My buddy used to live right there and have done well.

Believe it or not. But icehouse has 5 pound lms and a few at that.

I would bet most of the back waters up there have fish now willing to bite.

Not much snow melt this year.
