Default Sunday Casting Instruction

As mentioned in another thread there will be an informal casting clinic this Sunday, March 14th.

Westmoreland Park Casting Pond (South end)
Portland, Oregon
9:00am

The cost if Free, you need to bring a rod to cast, with a floating fly line and a leader attached.

This is not sponsored by any club, fly shop, or manufacturer. I just enjoy teaching fly casting and have seen several posts about casting problems. Time to get them fixed up before this season. I have spent the major portion of my life teaching all aspects of fly casting, fly fishing, and fly tying and enjoy helping fly anglers increase their skills.

Hope to see you there.

I wish I could be there... out of town I can afford to lose some bad habbits. If you are just getting into casting, you should be all over this before you can do a lot of dammage (bad habbits). Can't beat the price too

Wow ! Thanks for the great fly fishing clinic Randy It was great. I am sure I'll be a better caster as will everyone else that came to the clinic.

I'll second what Abalone says. Randy was great, and very kind in how he pointed out that in spite of 30+ years experience, I was doing it wrong. I learned a lot and really appreciate the lesson.
