Talked to a friend who was up there today, hooked two in the "large" class, landed one and the other broke him off after a long run. Tomorrow should be good as there seems to be alot of fresh fish.

I'll be there

Decided to check it out this afternoon, and lots of pressure up high. By noon the cars were lined from the hatchery corner uphill almost to the next corner.

Right away caught my first fly-rod steelhead on one of my own flies that I tied. Great feeling, even if it was a fairly dark nate. Now I know how the drag works on the fly reel. Talked to a couple of guys who did all right, but lots of people were just kind of beating the water- fish weren't too responsive, but I didn't put the fly rod back down. ht
