Pilar,
The best action was in the current. The ebb was slowing down when we left and am guessing the water was still around 1. We had good current all day and the bite was fierce! I stayed away from the punchbowl and all the other well known "holes." I was fishing in about 54 feet of water down by the barn. I have noticed that the fish are moving around and are being caught out of the normal holes that I have been catching them in. They are fat, well fed fish and tons of them. I did see some guys do pretty good in that deeper slot just down river from K-point anchored by the dock. The Washington side across from the cranes should be putting out some nice fish below the green can.
I love catching them 60 inch plus fish. It was a ball on light tackle. That is the third big un that I have hooked on my salmon rod this year  I only use light gear in that area and honestly think it outfishes "normal gear" 2 to 1.
Ol Blue,
Don't be afraid to find some good current instead of a hole to anchor in. If you don't get hammered within 15 minutes, pick up and move. The spot we hit today usually kicks out nice fish in the spring when the water is warmer. I think the fish are moving around more and are spread out. I just tried that spot on a hunch and hit pay dirt. Use light gear and the least amount of weight you can get away with. I will probably be out and about on the river in the morning looking to play another round of chess with the leviathoin. Good luck
