Applegate Lake 3-7-10

Sunday in Southern Oregon was a very nice day so i had to go out and enjoy it . I fished my favorite lake Applegate, I caught 2 rainbows, first was a 12inch and the other was 13, both were really nice and fat and made for a great lunch Before i went fishing i hiked the Collings Mtn. Trail 943 which is the trail that goes to the out of function bigfoot trap built in the 70's. It was the first time i went there and the trail is really nice along a tiny stream. All my bites came on live worms.

Thanks for sharing. Winter trout fishing up here in southern washington sucks right now. The water is too cold.

I went back twice this weekend ended up with 9, and got a couple nice 13 inchers. and some nice photos can be seen at my blog

Ill have a nice batch of smoked trout in a couple days
