Default Should I go? (Sportsman Show)

I was woken up this morning REALLY early. Not as early as if I was going fishing or something, but early. My best friend came in and said that her husband had just had a heart attack and was in the hospital. We all were suppose to go to the sportsman show and have some fun.
The Dr. put him into intensive care to moniter hes heart for a while. HE THINKS HE GETTING OUT BY 6:00 PM. NOT!!

The Dr. has come back and said, we were lucky we live close to the hospital, he was on the verge of having a hear attack, but we got him there in time. They did some tests and found he has a blockage on the lateral wall of his heart. We also found out he is a diebetic. After not eating for 19 hours his blood sugar was at 468.(Just a little diebetic)

I don't know if I should take his wife to the show or not. I know she won't enjoy it as much, but it will take her mind off her husband. Her husband doesn't want her to go with out him, but the show will not be open by the time he gets out of the hospital. I know there is always next year, but both want to go this year.

Should I leave him in the hospital and take his wife, or should I wait til he can go? Both love to fish and hunt.

If we break him out of the hospital long enough to see the show, we could get him a wheel chair, so he doens't have to walk around the show.

What do you all think?

I want to go to the show at least one more time.
And his wife or him have never been to the show. :depressed: What do I do?

March 7 - 10 there is a show in Redmond, OR. You all could take a road trip to that show.

Seems to me her husbands problems are far from over. If he doesnt want her to go without him I'm sure he has his reasons. Personally if I was in the hospital having nearly lost my life, I would be extremely unhappy knowing my wife felt care free enough to go to the sportsmans show or a movie or get her hair done or whatever. When my wife was in the hospital two years ago with a life threatening throat infection, I didnt just visit her in the hospital and then go hang out with my buddies. I stayed by her side and made sure that she knew I was there for her for anything she
might need and just for comfort and support. If he says he doesnt want her to go, it could be because he is scared or worried about his situation. Call me a softy but I think your friend should be with her husband. None of us knows how long we'll be here. ALL of you will have a much better time next year when you can go to the show together.

No messn' with his wife under any circumstances unless it's a visit at the hospital or a getting an update over the phone. If you wanna go then go. He can do without for the hours your gone. He cannot do without his wife. Don't feel bad that you too have a life. Use it .

Tracy, I must assume you are talking about Brian! For heavens sake, leave Linda w/ Brian, and do what ever you can to give them support, and prayers. Don't worry about the Show, there is always next year. If Brian doesn't do what's right, there may be no Brian. That would be a terrible tragedy, because we all here like Brian a whole lot. Give him and Linda All Our Best, and that they are in our prayers for a speedy recovery. :depressed:

Who decided to make it your decision whether or not your friends go to the show ?
Sounds like your trying to create more problems than there should be.
Should you go to the show? If you feel guilty about leaving your friends behind, then no, you should be there to support. If you can go and have a good time, then yes. Pretty simple.
You're worrying about the show, when you should be worrying about your friends.

Agree with both of the last posts. I think I'd feel bad for asking the question in the first place! If it was the last day to go cash in 10 million dollar lottery ticket then I say you think about it, but for a stinkin' sportsman show???
