Default Kwikfish - Treble or Siwash?

Picked up some of the kwikfish on sale a Joes and wanted to get them ready for the springers. I want to replace the factory hooks. Do you prefer treble or siwash hooks? What size hooks for k-13's, k-14's and k-15's? I usually put on the VMC's or Owner stingers for trebles. What is your prefered brand of siwash hooks?
I know many of you will also put either a barrel swivel or small bead chain between the hook and the lure. Is a barrel swivel enough or how long of a bead chain do you recommend? 3-bead or 5-bead? Will the black swivels I have work, or should I go with silver?
I did a search on this and found some ideas. Just want to bring it up because I know others will be interested.

hey brshooter ,I change the factory hooks out and replace them with 2/O Gamakatsu trebles on the larger plugs (k-15,T-50 ect.) I have messed with the chain and yes it works, but in my opinion isnt needed those Gammies are bad medicine.

I like to add at least a split ring when I upgrade the hooks on my Kwikies. The reason I do it is to permit the hook to swing freely and nog permit a fish to get leverage against the plug as it's fighting. I only use bead chain on smaller plugs, like Wiggle Warts, if I remove two hooks and just replace the belly hook, leaving the back hook off. The chain drops the hook back far enough that a bite from the back will hook up.

Now about black or silver ... hmmm. Let me know if it makes a difference, K?

I replace the back hook with a Owner treble and the belly hook with a Siwash. For the back hook, I use a split ring to a barrel swivel to a split ring then hook. The Siwash reaches the end of the tail without added swivels. Ive had much better hook ups with this set up.

Trebles all the way, siwash do a lot of damage to fish that need to be released. we switched over aprox 50 plugs last spring to siwash and after just a couple trips we went back because the survival rate wasn't good. I use Owner trebles, sharpest hooks around.
