Hagg opening weekend much better this year.
Fished Hagg Lake on opening day with my brother. Had a much better opener than last year (single 10 inch planter) Started the day with this 30" 12 lb. native rainbow
and ended up with three more respectable stockers. Not sure whether it was weather or what, but it seemed like everyone's creel was much fuller this year. Talked to folks on several boats, and everybody was doing pretty well.
While I ran down to the bait shop to get ice for the catch, brother got to witness some boat ramp antics. (roller trailer, unstrapped boat, you get the picture, but in case you don't, here it is:
All in all, it was a great day on the lake.

Nice picture at the boat ramp. Let the games begin. Oh, and a VERY nice fish, very clean and bright looking.

Nice report and pictures. Hagg lake seems like a great trout fishing spot.

Thats a beauty. I have heard the ODFW is stocking the large fish in December so they are in great shape by the time the lake opens in March.

Almost hate to admit this, but it was on rainbow powerbait hanging from a bobber.

Beautiful fish. How did it eat?
No native rainbow in Hagg Lake. All planted.

Nice fish. Thanks for the report. If you don't mind telling, what part of the lake were you fishing?
