Default Detroit 3-6-10

Headed to daytwah tomorrow to fish strictly for nooks and kokanee. Any advice?? I prefer GP for kokes, but don't have time to head south tomorrow. Was thinking of an Apex and corn for the koke rod and a big flatfish on 2oz for the nooks. Thanks!

Also, for the Nooks I don't care about the "fight" as I need to use the weight to get it down. It's a meat hunt at this point for them.

I've only fished for bow's there so don't have advice on kokes or nooks. For Bows trolling weading rings or just worms always seems to do the trick. What's the water level like at detroit right now? Are all the ramps usable yet?

Beautiful day on the water. Spun glass and few boats. I took a swim out to get my boat as the lead line broke. That was fun. Glad it was a nice day, but that was COLD!

Anyway, we got 7 and missed many more. They were all big hold over bows. 13-16" range, all of them. The new low water ramp was good, but no dock, so bring knee highs or waders. And make sure your lead rope is tied tightly.

Good luck, and oh yeah. The fee is now 5.00 at Mongold. Got there with the 3 I thought I needed. Took the risk, got the 45 dollar ticket. Rough day for me, but the fishing was fine.

Seen the same thing happen at Hagg yesterday! He was lucky there were plenty of other boaters there to help him out, so he didnt have to take the plunge into that freezing water.
