Skunked - this is a shot in the dark, as the photo doesn't look familiar, but could it be Eagle Creek?

That's what I was thinking too. (N. Santiam) Not one of my regular rivers, but looks a lot like it.

Lots of snakes, river runs like a snake, it's not the snake. Good guess.
I was on this point for an hour. Ate some grub, took a nap, then woke to snow/hail and 50 mph+ winds. Nice 3 mile walk back!!

This is a good thread. BU beat me to the correct guess of the Mckenzie and then i was beat to Macks from BU's post. Oh well. Maybe I will watch this thread a bit closer.
Hey BigU, have you ever done any bowfishing over on the john day around Priest hole or Twickenham? Lots of carp in there. I can't wait to go back.

My inlaws had a ranch out of Kimberly. I'd drive the John Day, fish and shoot all day!!
Fun thread indeed!

Nobody's guessing. Must be a different kind of "bow" fishery than most of the fly guys here are familiar with. I'll take a stab: Brownlee Res.?
