It depends on where you are fishing for them, on what works best. I troll and use a cowbell lake troll ahead of a wedding ring with corn. Some guys I know that fish in Oregon jig for them.

This should answer most of your questions. Welcome to kokanee fishing, the only place where your tackle box is worth more than your boat

Tatered, I am no pro but have done a fair amount of it on both sides of the "hill." Seems as if they school later in the season and then jigging gets under way. Prior to that I think trolling needlefish, apex, and good ol' wedding rings works well. Flatlining small needlefish at Paulina and in clear water lakes is the ticket IMHO early in the season. At Odell, we used more "pop gear" and larger lures. GP has always been a jigging show for us as we tend to fish it later in the season. Others will surely provide insight as to what specific spinners work the best. I would think small Big Moby spinners and small Blue Fox would be a good way to go. I'll do some experimenting for you Saturday. We'll have to get out there sometime after springers slow down. Oh, and definitely the siwash for me as I love to put worms and corn with my offering. Unless it's a really small spoon that would have the action messed up by the added weight. In that case, just tip with one piece of anise corn.
