Default HELP!!! NR Alum trailer bearings

Has anyone on here taken their hubs/bearings off recently? Mine is an 08 Aluminum tandem axle trailer with 4 wheel disc brakes... and on the first hub there was no washer behind the castle nut??? Is this normal? My DB trailer and utility trailer I'm pretty sure both have a washer behind the castle nut? I dont have another jack to pull another one wheel off and inspect it!

HELP!!!

If the castle nut has a shoulder on the backside it might not need a washer ...
Most all I have seen include one behind the castle nut though ...

First have you not heard of jack stands they are cheap and keep you from getting seriously injured when the jack fails
Second I have worked on everything from heavy equipment to go karts to autos for a living Did lots of brakes and wheel bearings
Never have I seen a wheel bearing without a washer behind the castle nut
Looks like a factory blunder

I replaced the bearings on mine (20 ft Scout) and do not remember, but I would assume the washers were there. The company that makes the rotor assembley (name is cast into rotor) was easy to get a hold of, look them up on the WEB.

"First", Yes I've heard of jack stands, as i only have 2... one under the tongue, because tongue jacks fail too, and the other supporting the trailer frame. I am concerned with safety as well. I suppose i could have moved it all around... but why would i do that, when i can type with greasy fingers and come to Ifish for smart @ss answers such as yours! or better yet, some helpful / useful opinions.

"Second", Didn't need a resume, just some other opinions!

Thanks for the help everyone else! I'm guessing NR error too... I guess since its still under warranty, Clemens here I come... I'm done dealing with their mistakes on this trailer.

I'm working on it because they over filled the heck out of the hubs with grease and also didn't seat the dust caps well. Now apperantely it's missing parts too... And its only 10 months old!

Their problem now!

Thanks Ifish! you saved me a little extra work!
