Default Lot of surface activity at Swan Island this morning

There was a LOT of surface rings that I could see just a few minutes ago. An area the size of a football field was all I could see with any detail and in that entire area there was a surface break every second for at least the 3 minutes I watched.

I haven't seen any real surface activity like this since the Fall.

Are you suggesting that February is "Topwater time". I guess I don't get it. Not likely any warm water fish breaking the surface right now.

Nope, I'm suggesting that the river has warmed up enough to support some activity. I'm fairly certain it's carp that are breaking the surface as these rings are much too large for bass. I will find out Wednesday morning if there's any bass up that early.

PS. It's March

Windy this morning, water was super high and visibility is maybe 5". Saw one small trout jump, nothing else and no bites. But hey, my line was wet.

Big air filter? You mean by the ramp? If so, that's the exit of Freightliner's wind tunnel, it gets really windy when that things on.

My views and where I fish are from the Freightliner (Daimler Trucks) parking lot on the mainstream of the river.

Haven't tried it this year yet. That wind induction thing scares me. I stay away in my boat. Dont want to lose a crankbait.

That's the exhaust, it'll just blow you into the ramp. The intake is on the roof at the front of the building.

Friday was awesome conditions warm air, no wind, glass surface, cleaner warmer water...I open the trunk of the car to get the gear out and I left the tackle bag at the house. All I have is a ugly 4" swim bait (that doesn't even swim straight) that I used Wednesday to try and cut through the wind. I was really looking forward to chuckin' some senkos.
