Gosh!!!
Did no-one go fishing this weekend? Since I'm grounded and have no chance of going it would have been great to read some stories....and isn't that what most fishermen like to do "Tell Stories". I really thought someone in this group would have been on the Sandy or Clack this weekend. I was spoiled last week in that I got to go four days. Now I'm not sure when. Tight Lines.

Re: Gosh!!!
Clackamas Friday morning, very pleasant and fishless. McIver Park lower end. About 7 lbs. of garbage.
Water was remarkably clear!

Re: Gosh!!!
Ok, Eagle creek after the cleanup. Dogfishboy myself and my friend JJ. We walked around, fished a little and then ate some humble pie. JJ learned to drift fish for steelhead and cast a bait casting reel.
Don't you just hate it when you leave your rock and some other guy slides in and gets a fish right away? Or even worse, 2 in just a few casts. They were dark but the kid had a big smile going.

Re: Gosh!!!
Sandy at Oxbow after the Eagle Creek clean-up on Saturday with Big Spinner and blacktail, 3 fish on one nice chrome nate to the bank by blacktail.
Back to the Sandy at Oxbow for a few hours on Sunday with my daughter, nothing but had fun with my girl and met a couple more ifishers.

Re: Gosh!!!
I fished Eagle Creek this last week and Saturday too, 14 for 24, and should've had a few more than that. Landing almost a fish for every hour there. I turned two former "novices" into semi-pros  Both are way into fishing now, thanks mostly to a stellar run on the creek and everywhere else too. Lots of fish above and plenty just in from the Clackamas.
Now is the time to go. These next mini storms should fill ( not saying it's not close now) the creek from top to bottom. That's not including what's already in the Clack. Those broodies should be coming now too. Heck, there seems to be at least one less hatchery springer now too. Gotta love this time of year

Re: Gosh!!!
Well now I think I know who Artwo is, howdy! Fished Sunday alongside mike5097 and son. The helicopters filming "The Hunted" doing their thing overhead. Maybe will see some IFISHer's winter steelheading when the film comes out. It look like they had the lense on us in the early parts of their flight sequences.
Anway after being fishless on the first location, went downstream and hooked into native buck approx 12 lb. Beautiful fish, chrome and in great shape. No hands touched it, and only the jaws came out of the water briefly for a quick hook removal. In the same area I saw a dead fish of considerable size on the bottom. Please be careful with the nates!
My bait of confidence is the aerofly.
Cheers,
Nippper
