Default Sturgeon 2-3-02

Took the wife out, started about 11am, looked pretty crowded but the crowds went away closer the game time. Saw lots of fish caught and a few keepers. Her first fish was a 44" my last fish was a 45", about 20 shakers between us. Also saw a ship just about take out a few boats that were fighting tangled anchor lines. One question, why must people run wide open through the achored boats? And why is it the more the boat cost the more right they think they have to **** everyone else off? Just a little venting. Good day in all.

In the case of a sled, I would prefer that they go by me on plane unless it is in close quarters like Kelley Point can be. They throw a lot less wake. Regardless, everyone must still RESPECT the other boats around them. If you must pass close to other boats, slow it down to a crawl. You can step it back up after you get past them. So it may take two minutes longer to get back to the ramp or to your fishing hole. I bet most of us can live with that!

Yes I know just what you mean, Sat when fishing the same area 3 or 4 home bound boats had the whole out side open all they had to do was stay out there,no they had to cut the corner. I don't care if it's a sled or deep v I wish they would take their laze rearends and go around. This would sure keep the peace between boaters. Yes I know when It's time to go home a person just can't get there fast enough. The thing they don't think about is if they were in the other boats would they like it.

Yes on two counts! Many times you see the guys with the biggest boats or trucks are compensating for ...something inadequate perhaps? Doesn't figure that whenever you take your woman or kids out somebody acts in a manner contrary to what you told them it is like. Sorry it has to be but hope you had a good day otherwise.
