Default best place for trailer parts/repairs?

Well, I got the new boat. It kicks butt. The trailer on the other hand, is a piece. It is a single axle, and this boat is too big for that, so I want to convert it to two 3000 pound axles instead of 1 6000 pounder. And the whole thing needs brakes.

Anyone who can reccomend a good trailer shop, please do. I don't weld, so I really need a shop who can put weld the spring mounts on for me.

The frame of the trailer is good, but the axel is bad, the brakes are gone, and the thing gets a pretty good sway going around a curve. Help!

STZII had his trailer redone also. His trailer wasnt' big enough for the weight of his boat. I think the name of it was "Trailer Specialties" it's located in Tualitan. Look it up in the yellow pages under Trailers, it should be there.

He said it was a good deal so that means he didn't spend much for it.

I hope this helps a little. At least gives you a place to start.

Just made an appointment to haul the rig over and get a quote from Greg at Ryan Trailer. Hopefully I can get this thing upgraded to dual axle with brakes for something like $1200. Thanks for your help!
