Default Prop size for 19' NR Mariner w/115HP

I think I've of done all the research needed for converting my pump to a prop. The one unanswered question I have is what size prop should I start with? I found a Yamaha performance bulletin that is based on my exact boat and motor, they used a 13x19 aluminum prop and the top speed was 40MPH @5900 RPM. I'm hoping I'll do better than that. Any body out there with the same size boat and motor that can give me some ideas on where to start? (I will be using the boat to occasionally pull my son on a wakeboard)

Also, if anybody has a used baykit for a yamaha and a good used lower unit that's not needed, let me know. (2005 Yamaha 4-stroke). I don't want to have to buy new if I don't need to.

I really don't think you will get 5900 RPMs with a 19 . I am running a 13x17 on my NR Scout with 135 horse Honda it will run about 5850 wide open.

Oh Welcome to Ifish.

I have a 19 on my 115 yam. It's on a 19' harbercraft. I need to go down to at least a 17. I know my boat dosen't weigh what the N/R does.

The Yamaha tests are performed with a pretty light load, 2 guys, single battery on a brand new boat with no gear, tackle, etc. I would run a 13.25x17 on your boat.

Oh Welcome to Ifish.
I can get 6 grand and 43 mph (gps) out my mariner/Yam 115 w/ just me and a light load, factory prop. Any more trim and it starts to porpoise though.
