Re: Who is online, turned off for testing.
I don't think you can have both cool and fast.
Like anything else, movies, etc.
See, to have the online feature work correctly, it recaches every five minutes to keep an accurate list.
Cool or fast? Your choice. I'll do a poll? Or just post it here.
It's your board. I don't care either way.
Jen

Re: Who is online, turned off for testing.
uuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh, back to normal. It was funny Jen, yesterday after the cache was done my computer at work which is on a T-1 line was a dog but when I got home last night my dial-up was much faster but still not the norm. Then Today was slow again on the T-1, weird, you would think it would be the other way around. I did like the on-line feature but do preferr the speed. Thanks for thinking of us.

Re: Who is online, turned off for testing.
Cool! We can run again. No more crawling. It was slow on both my full T-1 from work and attbi cable at home. It was interesting to see who was slacking off at work, but I would rather have the speed.

Re: Who is online, turned off for testing.
With the little time I had on I-Fish yesterday, I did notice a marked slow down. I have cable internet sevice, and it like I was back with the old 56k modem. Today it is back to it's usual blazing fast self. Thanks Jenny, it was a nice idea, too bad it slowed things down.

Drummer: You are not the only one. I didn't notice any diff either.
Maybe we have magical musical connections.

Re: Who is online, turned off for testing.
I didnt notice either on my lighting fast 56k. But...When I first log onto the Home page its a 50/50 chance that It won't have a link to the board or its a totally different Ifish Home page and I have to reload the page to get the link...Hmmmm.. its a mystery to solved.

Re: Who is online, turned off for testing.
Jen you running the php on the server? I don't do the traffic you do but that really helped on mine.
The cache does slow it down 20%?...so they say.
The whos online newness is wearing off on my site. Still nice to see names show up when folks visit.
haha new gremlins
