Default Keta boats MONSTER steelhead (pic)

This morning, Keta, ORpoke, and myself assaulted the Rogue River in search of bright winter runs.

We landed six out of seven hooked, including this ESPECIALLY nice 75 pounder!

Nice fish! I understand Keta's hand got all enlarged like that from pulling tuna handlines.

I apologize to everyone here for the trick photography, I held the fish 4 feet in front of me to make it look bigger. When I got home I weighted it on a certified scale and it was only 47 pounds gutted.

Nice weather, good company and good fishing.

Crabbait,
I only keyboard with my right hand, thats why it is a bit bigger than my left.

The reason his hand is so swollen is because he missed the fish with the fishwacker! I've never seen anyone who put a bigger beating on fish than Keta! I watched him nearly take the whole head off of a tuna with one wack!

Remember those old Japanese monster movies, where an accidental release of radiation caused something to grow really big??? That's really what happened to Keta's hand!

Awesome post, GP. I only wish I could have got one into the boat for you to work your artistry on.

The fish I'm not catching might be big, but they will become truly astounding if I can ever catch one and have digital picture to work with.
