Default Taxidermist help

I finally caught the fish on a lifetime and am looking for a taxidermist to do a replica mount. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

There is a supermarket in Lapine Or. that displays 8 or 10 different fish that was done by a local guy i think. All of the fish were outstanding quality. there were buisiness cards there advertising his work, I do have some cards but I have to dig them out of my card drawer. E-mail me if you want this info. I have some family over there who might be able to stop and ask a few q's.hope this helps.......WOODUXS@aol.com

Use Rick Leach, he is in Portland and several of my friends have used him and they say he is the best. Congrats on the fish. RW

RW is right. Rick does great fish.

My choice would be Cory Wright. His ability is very impressive. Both these guys are located in Portland but worth the drive if your talking about "lifetime" fish.

Cory Wright 503-775-0539
Rick Leach 503-256-0363

Now the inmportant stuff.... What did you catch? Give some details. I love hearing about the monster that didn't get away.

Heyyyyy! What about the Ifish Taxidermist?
He is really good, and I would really appreciate it if you would give him a call.
Memories!

Thanks, and if you do try him, please let us know how it goes!

I have seen his work. It is beautiful!
Plus, he is very knowledgeable about the best way to do things that will last.

I don't think we should give this guy any advice until we hear about this fish.

OK....OK! A couple of days ago I was drifting solo on a local river(?) And hooked, landed, and was able to photograph, and successfully release the fish that surpassed my every fantasy. 41"x 24" of chrome steele. The formula figures a tad over 30lb. My buddies say not quite. I think it's close. We decided to let the taxidermist study the photos and make the final call. (I did get a pic with the tape measure for you sceptics). I have chosen a taxidermist to do the job. Luke Filmer of (Blackwatertrading@earthlink.net) gets the nod. I am very impressed with his work, and he is local. My thanks to all who made recomendations. (P.S. I'll be glad to post a picture if someone can explain how to do it)
