Mercury Outboard EFI Problems?

Some dealers won't sell them and others it's all they carry. Looking for anyone that has had problems with theirs. Thanks.

Knock on wood, no problems with my Merc 150 EFI, other than the alarm sensor module failed, two weeks after a 5 year extended warranty. :depressed:

Other than that, it's been sweet.

200 EFI no probs for 3 years.

Don't take it to ANYBODY that doesn't have a dianostic computer. I bought my own and I can tell you it "knows all". Without it a machanic is just guessing. I have had both. And once you have an "Optimax" you'll never go back

From what I have been told the EFI units work great on the prop model outboards, but they have problems with them on their jets. Something to do with backpressure? Probably a good question for the Boat Doc.
