Default ZIPPERLIP?? NOT!!!!

Fished with guide Scott Amerman today (Wednesday) ...Let's see 21 hooked! 11 landed! and.... 8, yes that's 8 fish, donated to the "brood-stock program!!!! (percentage could have been higher if he didn't have doughballs for clients! sorry Scott)

GOD I LOVE STEELHEAD

And because I HATE the fact that people feel like they can't give a current report on this sight...(drum roll please)....it all happened on the Wilson River! You have to call Mr. Amerman to get more details. I'll just say that we had do the same drift twice because the first time we ran out of room in the "live well"!

Okay Kinebra, you forced this one out. I'm not to blame. The Zipperlip Sandy is Still producing. Unconfirmed but generally reliable informant said several limits(yes 3 fish limits) of bright fish were seen taken from the lower river. Reliable compadre and friend went two for six this afternoon at zipperlip location central Oxbow Park. Personally saw several fish on bank at zipperlip upper and lower Oxbow Park and watched as a fisher released his first ever steelhead at zipperlip Oxbow Boat Ramp.

Hey Wiser and Firedog,
I will be looking for you on the Zipperlip Sandy tomorrow!!! I will be in the black Koffler with a big, ugly, fish slaying Norwegian tending the bow. Let the fishgods be generous

Fish hard or stay home.

Jerry,

I seem to remember loosing a couple of those all by myself . So I can't let you guys take all the blame. Anyway those fish were big nasty and mean. Isn't zipperlip a term used when people don't want to let anyone know whats going on with fishing but want to brag about how many fish they catch  . The only zipperlip I know is the client who once zipped his lower lip up in his rain coat(while playing with his zipper up and down like a little kid) and bled in the boat for 4 hours. His friend still all call him Zipperlip to this day.

But really thanks for a fun day and helping me put the wild fish in the broodstock program. In a few years you will be able to say that the broodstock hatchery fish we are all catch are from your fish.

I encourage all to help with the Broodstock programs on the Wilson and Nestucca if you are coming to the coast to fish. To sign up call the ODFW at 503-842-2741. If you have questions post them or email me or Marty and we can help you out.
