Default help me plan a trip

so i think i might have put this is the wrong section earlier so here i go again

So some buddies of mine and i are looking to get out for a few days during our spring break. We are trying to find a place that we can hike into and spend a few nights. so we were thinking of somewhere on Mt. hood but looks like it will be to cold. (avg. low 40's) so i thought that i would ask here and see if anyone had any places that they could lead us too. it will be at the end of march. so if you can please help us i we would be so thankful.

also if you dont want everyone else to know, you can PM me and i will keep it a secret.

So what is wrong with the low 40's? Beats the tar out of 100+!

I fish every year with my son for a day during spring break. The last five years we have gone through or fished in snow 4 of those.

This time of year you have to expect snow in any of the mountains. I am not a river fisherman but I think most streams aren't open that time of year but check me because it isn't my game.

Here are some thoughts with all that said: Hebo- small lake in the coastal mountain near Pacific City (or the town of Hebo if you know where that is) Fair chance of snow. Foster or Green Peter- snow wont be a problem but you won't get that "in the woods feeling". Lake Billy Chinook- saw some nice fish caught from the bank better if you have a boat. I would have suggested Mann lake but the fish biologist told me the lake was overrun with goldfish.

If you can get a hold of a boat, crabbing or springer fishing could be good options.
