lamson konic reels.... what are your 2 cents?

I am needing to get a reel for my new 10 wt.( Scott 9ft 10wt A3) I was thinking about getting a lamson konic 4. I am in college, and dont have the money to get the reel I really want. Do any of you have one of these reels, and what has your expierence been? Are there some other reels I should look at in that price range? Lets get the think tank rolling.

I haven't used one but the guys in the fly shop I go to swear by them. I have however used the Pflueger Trion in fresh and salt and have been very happy with it. Same price range as the Konic I think but made from machined aluminum. Good luck

The konic should be a good reel ,it has the same conical drag as the velocities which I have 2 of and am really happy with.

Just put a Lamson Konic on my 7/8 10'8" switch rod. It perfroms VERY well and I would say it is a great bang for the buck. I got a chance to test the drag out as well on a 30" chrome buck. Did very well. I would reccomend. It's not my Momentum, but it feels nice.
