Great job Rich! Good to see the river clear up a little too! I got two smallies today also (from shore).

Nice Fish Rich! Good to see you ripping it up this early in the year. Do you still have your same boat?

Chet, yes I do have the same boat. Did a lot of work on it in the off season and yesterday was her maiden voyage for 2010. I was very pleased with almost everything. still am working on getting a steering problem ironed out.

Thanks everybody for the kudos. I posted a very short thread because I got interrupted while writing it. I wanted to add that the water had cleared up a bit like Roger says and the wind made boat control a little difficult but it was a great day to be out in such nice weather and getting lucky enough to land a couple nice ones. I marked several groups of fish on the sonar at 39 feet and drop shotted them heavy with no success. The ones I did pick up were in shallow water; possibly up looking over spawning grounds or feeding.

here is a different perspective on the pics.

Nice fishies. I've only managed to fool a few crappie and perch in the past week; no smallies yet.
