Default Cheap motel in Tillamook?

Can anyone recommend a cheap motel in Tillamook? Preferably one that has room for parking with a driftboat.
Thanks.

They finally tore it down!
Shilo isn't bad at 59.00 I believe.
See if they will give you a discount as an ifish member... They might!

You might want to try the Western Royal.
I stayed at the one in Garibaldi a couple weeks ago and told them I was going fishing with a guide and they only charged me and my wife $35.00 per night. I'm sure they will honor the winter rate in Tillamook as well. Tom

My wife and I have stayed at the Best Western, the Shilo and one other ('can't recall the name right now) in the past year. Shilo is the best we've found (don't know whether it's the cheapest in town but it was actually less expensive than the other two we stayed at). They have plenty of room to park your vehicle and your boat. They have a fish-cleaning room and if you ask for first-floor rooms (say) 130 through (I think it is) 136, you'll be handy to the fish cleaning room and the back door to the parking lot. However, nearly every time you check-in, they will most probably have trouble finding your reservation . . . . Jennie has a link to their site on the forum home page. I think the rate you were quoted in the earlier post is what we paid (corporate rate).

The Red Apple is pretty reasonable for basic stay. Under $50 for a queen bed. Different rates for different bed sizes, etc.. Clean, cable t.v., and they let me park my boat in the lot too

If fishing the Nestucca, Pacific City has a couple of good places that don't mind the driftboat as well. They are right as you pull into town.

Wherever you end up parking your DB, make sure you don't leave anything in the boat that you can't live without. I've heard a couple of horror stories about equipment getting stolen out of boats parked at the Shilo. I don't blame the hotel for the problem, but security it not the best. :depressed:

I know Marty and Lee Peterson live in Tillamook, but not sure what part of town. Maybe they have an extra room for ifish people.... ;-) jk
