Default wallowa lake

Finally gonna go to Wallowa Lake. Im looking at June 1st is that a good time for the bite up there? I heard that the laker stays somewhat warm throughout the year so I assume it would be ok. Any tips on rentals and tactics appreciated.

I've never been there but June 1st sounds like the right time. Downriggers or no? I hope to get up there this year too, but too much OT not to pass up until mid June. Be Safe.

There was an excellent video on Angler West re koke fishing on Wallowa..basically they use the same gear I use at Green peter.. pink Hoochie behind shasta sling blade with white corn..Some big ones up there. State record there last year at 7lb. I imiagine wedding ring would work too, but seems as get a little later in year, they become aggressive and the hoochie ticks them off. You can find the gear on the Shasta Tackle co website.,
