Default TCAB Report for 3.6.04

What a day! Team Cast and Blast (Boatdog, Skahorse and myself) were guests aboard Boatdog's friend's North River today. We fished Sellwood for about 8 hours without so much as a lick. We saw two fish boated - one of which was Chief's. At most, about 30 to 35 boats in the area. Rumor has it that about 6 or so were boated the entire day.

However, during a break at Sellwod Park, Boatdog assisted a bankie (or is it dockie?) in landing this nice 52" keeper.

Hope he doesn't get mad at me for posting his pic here, but this is one nice fish!

I'd like to send out a special thank you to Dan, Boatdog's friend. What a ride!! Thanks again for a great day and for being willing to share your boat with Team Cast and Blast!

Oh, and Dan, stop lurking, come up with a moniker and sign on buddy!

Once again, guys - a great time. No fish, but enjoyed the ride and the company. Here's to more to come.

Sounds like you guys had a great time!
Too bad about not catching any fish, but some of my best fishing memories are from days that we never touched a fish...

Nice fish that bankie...eerr...dockie landed

One other thing worth mentioning. Skahorse, in his boredom, decided to try his hand and post-season duck calling. He robbed me of my Pringles can and started distributing the contents to these feathered frolickers who kept us company most of the day.

Next duck season, we're thinking about setting out a spread of Pringles cans.

Not to worry - they only got a taste...

All of you should have seen these "avid waterfowl hunters" shake, drool, and sweat while all of these "local" greenheads and geese swim up to the boat, and fly towards us with their wings 'set'. Absolutely hilarious! Sheer torture for them, but a heck of a good time waster! They even had them eating out of their hands! Wait nine months, and they won't be so 'nice'.
