Great time aboard the USS Hog Hunter
I had the extreme pleasure in spending the day with Terry and his good bud Shawn today on the Hog Hunter. The fishing and social time was great but the catching and the end of derby results were very disapointing. It is amazing how many keepers you catch in the pre fish mode only to lead up to the big blank.
I have to say that the blast off was great and the captain was very safe and showed a lot of poise in the event. Shawn was an excellent first mate barking out orders and plotting the course as we skipped down the Columbia to the fishing grounds. The Hog Hunter was amazing and was one of the first six boats that entered the Willy. Those trim trabs and that Honda were great first round draft picks bro
I met some cool people and had a great time. Thanks Terry and Shawn for having me along and I am sorry I couldn't produce the magic that the Tacklebuster is known for.
Good meeting you Scott, Bo, and the rest.
Hey Terry and Troy and the rest of the gang, next week is going to be a blast. Let's work out the final details later on this week. I'm looking forward to springer fishing "you know where".
Yo Terry, I think those songs brought us bad karma today bro  I kept singing that one all the way home
Yo Scott- you arn't near as mean and ugly as ****** told me you were

Re: Great time aboard the USS Hog Hunter
Chris,
Sorry to hear it was less that awesome, but the company made up for it. That fish Erika caught last week might have been a money fish, it's funny how easy they come when it's before a derby. :depressed: I'll be out tomorrow morning just hunting around, getting geared up for next weekend. If you're out again, look for my boat. You can't miss it now. I made up my own set of graphics today. "GreenbuttSkunked.
Tight lines,

Re: Great time aboard the USS Hog Hunter
Chris,
This event is a great event no matter the outcome...
I hope you continue to be a part of our team because we definately need to redeem ourselves next year...but ya know something, the catching is 2ndary...It is compatibility, comradery & consistency that you look for and I know more times than not we can & will put up numbers...Half the fun is finding fish and then to be fortunate enough to land the 3 you need...
Our day will come and now we move on to springers...This event always marks the beginning of the season change in regards to fishing and I hope we will have many more great fishing days ahead...
As always it's a great pleasure being associated with fine people such as you, Erica & Christine and next weekend will be the beginning of a great springer season...
Talk to ya soon and good night for me

Re: Great time aboard the USS Hog Hunter
Scott, Thanks for the hat. Even if it is a North River.
Hold those fish out in front of you. They look bigger that way. Oh, I guess you did. We caught some of those yesterday too. Oh well the weather was good.

Re: Great time aboard the USS Hog Hunter
Scott,
Very nice for a bottom sucking carp....
OK all, it is officially springer time...Man we should be out there today...Very warm out there...
OBTW Bruce - The DAC CD is very popular as you can see and everyone always asks where i got it so you definately get the praise/blame  ...I personally love the CD but what would you expect from a Redneck Hillbilly
OBTW DAC is from Dallas & both my kids are Native Dallas Texans so I have to show some albeit minor allegence to the Big "D"

Re: Great time aboard the USS Hog Hunter
Scott,
That UW Husky wagon you were in was a sweet ride indeed and fast
I have to say that the new smart tabs on my boat is optimizing allot of things (Speed, stability, RPM's, Fuel Economy)...
Gotta say I am pretty happy that the Hillbilly Taxi was definately in the top 10 getting down the river...
