Default Santiam , anyone ?

Anybody been chasing steelies on the Santiam lately ? It seems the Army Corp has put the clamps on the dams ...the levels are way down over the last day or two. Any reports ???

Hi, swampy-

Detroit Reservoir, which feeds the North Santiam, is at low level now and is scheduled to start refilling in February. The only thing feeding the river currently is snowmelt. As Detroit fills, the North Santiam will remain low and fishable, and though most of the fish that cross Willamete Falls are bound for this location, the vast majority at this time of year are natives.

This river is hot when the summer steelhead are running.
