Default Diamond Lake Camping

Hey everyone, I was curious how hard it is to get a camp site early in the year after the trout season opener and before you can register online for a campsite in June. I don't want to drive over from Portland and have there be no open camping. Thanks for the information!

I believe the earliest you can register is six months in advance...a couple years ago this was no problem but with the improved fishing you had better get to it. Dont even bother trying for any time near the 4th of July, it fills up Quick!

The registration starts up in mid June, just wondering if the campgrounds fill up in mid May or if I am safe just driving over there on a Thursday after work from the valley. Thanks.

Even if there is snow in the campground, you will have no problems finding a nice campsite.

Thanks Wang, that is the information I was looking for. There is not much snow fall this year, so I am pretty sure the ground will be clear. I am thinking about heading up there the third weekend in May before Memorial Day weekend.

Thank you everyone else for your input as well.
