I might possibly head up there Sunday. My cousin in-law caught a couple natives there about a week and a half ago... not sure where. I think he said North Fork, but I don't really know the river that well.
Fished the lower river today. 3 nates, 1 downstreamer (but very chrome) and two cutthroat. No hathery fin clipped at all. Talked to three other boats, one had one hatchery fish the other had zip! The bank pressure was light telling me the fishing was not that great and the lack of drfit boats tells me the same. Pretty much over until we get a good rain and then the Alsea Brooders should show up as well as the natives.
